Raleigh, the Wedding and other stuff

Well, we've been without wifi for a week so I'm a bit behind and I'm gonna try to catch up in one posting so bear with me. And yes, there are quite a few pictures.

We stayed the week at the North Carolina Fairgounds at Raleigh. It was a nice place and the new RV section was surrounded by trees. We walked to grounds and checked out the buildings and lakes. Here's some of what we saw on our walk.

We were in the area this particular week because our friend's daughter's wedding. She got married in Wake Forest (just north of Raleigh) at the Southeastern Baptist Seminary where she met the man of her dreams. I didn't take many pictures at the college, wedding or reception so I only have a couple taken with my phone. The college is really beautiful and the chapel was very nice.

Annie & John

Julie and Keith came up from Orlando for the wedding. On Sunday we had a few hours before their flight so we checked out the Flea Market (we call it Swap Meet on our side of the country) at the farigrounds. This quilt was there. I like it, but it was too worn out for me the be interested in buying it. It's for inspiration.

So by Monday everyone has gone home except Kathy & Jerry. Kathy (the mom of the bride) and I went for a massage in the morning. Afterward we met up with the guys for lunch and then went up to Falls of the Neuse for a hike. We never saw the falls but here's a few pictures from our hike.

Today we headed back to Statesville so Camping World could try again to fix the leak in the 5-th wheel. I just love the flowers on the side of the freeway. Pretty huh?

While they were working on the trailer Bonnie Hunter drove down for a visit. We went to lunch, got a pedicure and then checked out this antique store. We saw lots of quilts, but didn't take any home - well, just pictures.

We girls had a great time and while we were playing Ray, the sweetie, took our laundry to the laundromat. What a guy! Gotta love him. (I really owe him.)

Then we headed north to Virginia.

It's beautiful.

We're staying at a KOA tonight so I have wifi.
And it's raining! I guess we're gonna find out if the roof is really fixed.

Tomorrow we head west toward Louisville.
